Dena
Practice Manager
Dena grew up in Hermiston, OR, and graduated from Southern Oregon University in Ashland in 1993. When Dena moved to Redmond, she began bringing her cat, Cleo, to Cinder Rock. At that time, she was working as an office manager for a furniture store and spending her one day off per week working in her aunt’s first grade class where little Ian Sides was a student. When a job opening became available at Cinder Rock, Dena decided to submit her resume. Dr. Holly remembers that it was Dena’s work ethic that made a lasting impression and won her a position as receptionist in March of 1996.
It did not take long for Dena to grow from receptionist to office manager and then to practice manager. In that capacity Dena has taken on the responsibility of managing, training and inspiring a group of eight doctors and an expanding support staff. Dena and her husband Jerry had lived in Redmond for many years, but in 2006 they moved to Chiloquin where Dena worked both from home and commuted to our office. In the fall of 2008 Dena and Jerry happily moved back to Redmond. Dena’s leadership capabilities and talents continue to help all of us attain the absolute highest level of service for both our clients and their beloved animal companions.
Dena and Jerry share their home with their two wonderful and loving Vizlas, Libby and Mazey. And in addition, there is a cat named Silvia who Dena adopted from our clinic. She is a black and white cat and has fit easily into the Coyner household due to her undeniable charm and cuteness.
In her free time, Dena enjoys camping, scrapbooking, reading and spending time with her family.
Kristi
Receptionist
There was never a time in Kristi’s life when she didn’t love animals, and as far back as she can remember, she wanted to center her career around working with animals and the people who love them. Kristi has been working in our front office since the end of July, 2019 after having moved to Redmond with her husband Wesley in May, 2019. When someone asks where she is from, she often replies that she is from a little bit of everywhere. She graduated from Kadena High School at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in La Crosse, WI and has worked at two veterinary hospitals: the first in Charleston, SC and the second in Lewisville, TX. Kristi’s animal family consists of two dogs: Pepper is a Catahoula mix and Daisy is a German Shepherd/Beagle mix. And when she has free time, some of her favorite activities are reading, camping, horseback riding and playing video games.
Pattsy
Receptionist
Pattsy joined the front office staff at Cinder Rock in June 2017 and, after a brief interval, again in September 2018. She is originally from Arlington, WA and now lives in Crooked River Ranch. She graduated from Ridgeview High School in 2016 and is presently a student at Central Oregon Community College.
Pattsy loves seeing animals every day in the office and meeting their owners. She enjoys getting to know our clients and talking with them about their pets. Staying busy and learning about our fast-paced practice are challenges that suit her perfectly especially because they are all about helping animals.
She shares her home with Milo, who is a rescue Blue Heeler mix she acquired from The NOAH Center, an adoption shelter and spay/neuter clinic in Stanwood, WA. She also has another rescue dog named Kodah who is the Golden Retriever shown in her photo.
Some of her hobbies and interests when she has the time are hiking, walking with her dogs, going to the beach, traveling, swimming and spending time with her family.
Sadie
Receptionist
Sadie started at Cinder Rock in August of 2020. She is a native Redmond resident. She graduated from Ridgeview High School in 2017, and is planning to start school again to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has wanted to work with animals since the time she was able to talk; therefore, working with animals has been a dream for her. She also comes to CRVC with a very extensive background working with people so this job suites her perfectly.
Sadie is the proud mother to one sweet Dachshund Terrier mix, named Noah Flynn. Sadie and Noah have been inseparable since she welcomed him home in 2018. She loves hiking, swimming, and watching movies, all with Noah of course. Sadie also loves spending time with her human family.
Kendall

Kendall is a Beaverton native who recently moved to Bend and began working at Cinder Rock in December 2020. She is currently attending Central Oregon Community College in pursuit of getting her Associates of Art Transfer Degree, and she then plans to pursue a Veterinary Technician Certification. Kendall loves that she is able to be a small part of making every animal healthy and she especially loves getting puppy kisses. You can also find Kendall observing surgery and giving many treats to our patients.
Kendall shares her home with her significant other, Cade, as well as their incredibly sweet and fluffy American Akita, Geralt and Tigger the cat. She enjoys snowboarding, hiking, reading, and loves Disney.
