Dental Care for Cats & Dogs

Routine dental care can have a huge impact on your pet's oral and overall health, but pets often aren't given the dental care they need to maintain their teeth and gums. This is why approximately 80% of dogs and cats over the age of 3 will develop periodontal disease.

Our Redmond veterinary hospital focuses on pet dental care and provides everything they need from basic dental exams and cleanings to dental X-rays and oral surgery.

We also give owners the information they need to keep their pet's teeth healthy at home.

Dental Surgery in Redmond

We understand that finding out that your pet needs dental surgery can be overwhelming. We strive to make this process as stress-free as possible, for you and for your pet.

We'll do everything we can to ensure your pet's experience with us is comfortable and easy. We'll break down each step of the process to you in detail before the procedure, including preparation and post-operative care requirements.

We offer jaw fracture repair surgeries, tooth extractions, and gum disease treatment for dogs and cats.

Pet Teeth Cleaning & Exams

Similar to your annual trip to the dentist, your dog or cat should be seen by your vet for a dental appointment at least once per year. Some pets can be prone to dental problems and therefore should be seen more often.

Cinder Rock Veterinary Clinic can assess, diagnose and treat dental health problems in cats and dogs.

FAQs About Pet Dental Care

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions from our patients about pet dental care.

Veterinary Dentistry: Anesthesia & Your Pet's Oral Health

Cats and dogs do not understand what is going on during dental procedures, and will often react to dental procedures by struggling or biting.

Similar to the anesthesia provided to nervous or anxious patients by dentists, our Redmond vets provide anesthesia to all of our patients before performing dental procedures. This puts less stress on the animals and allows us to X-ray their mouth as needed.
