Traci grew up here in Redmond and graduated from Redmond High School. She attended Phagans’ Beauty College in Bend and was a cosmetologist for a number of years. She has also previously worked at another veterinary hospital in Central Oregon and discovered that working in the veterinary environment suits her perfectly. Traci joined our front office staff in February 2014 and enjoyed getting to know our clients and their pets. In September 2016, when an opening for Kennel Manager became available, she took on the position with her usual enthusiasm. She finds great satisfaction in being responsible for taking care of the needs of both our hospitalized animals and our boarders, making sure that each is as comfortable and as happy as possible when they are with us.
Traci and her husband Russell live in Redmond. They have three fabulous sons: Ryan, Austin and Tanner, and Traci’s animal family includes a black and white domestic short-haired cat named Tux.
When she is not working, Traci loves to go camping and fishing with her family.

Bailey is our kennel attendant and joined Cinder Rock’s staff in October 2016. She is a Powell Butte native and a current resident of Powell Butte. She graduated early from Redmond Proficiency Academy with an honors diploma and is also a four year member of the National Honor Society. In the fall of 2017 Bailey will be attending Central Oregon Community College and will start the Pre-Veterinary courses. Upon completion of those classes, her plan is to transfer to the College of Veterinary Medicine at OSU in Corvallis.
Bailey is learning about taking care of the animals during their visits at our office and she is interested in learning as much as she can about all aspects of our practice. She is especially interested in learning about medicine, illnesses and treatments.
Like most all of our staff, Bailey grew up with animals and shares her life with six dogs and four horses. There is Shorty, a male Jack Russell Terrier who is a rescue from Brightside Shelter, Sadie, a female black lab, Stella, a female chocolate lab who is in Bailey’s photo, two female Pembroke Welsh Corgis: Sammi and Sequoia and last, but definitely not least, Shiloh who is a female Beagle. There are also four Quarter Horses: her bay mare Haylee, Haylee’s filly, Peanut, who was born in May of 2017, and two geldings: Gunner, a buckskin and Red a sorrel.
When she has free time from school and work, Bailey keeps busy with 4H and OHSET. She plays on three softball teams year-round and she also enjoys camping, fishing and hunting, riding horses and riding ATVs.

Heather joined Cinder Rock’s kennel staff in September 2017. She is a Prineville native and lives in Bend during the school year and Prineville in the summer. She graduated in the top 10% of her class with an honors diploma from Crook County High School. She has an Associates Degree in Pre-Vet from Central Oregon Community College and will be attending both COCC and OSU Cascades working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Her goal is to go to Vet School to become a large animal veterinarian. Heather has worked at another Central Oregon veterinary clinic as a kennel assistant and enjoyed it thoroughly. She knows that she is already learning a lot working at Cinder Rock as she helps take care of the animals at our clinic, and the experiences gained here will continue helping her towards her own personal goals.
Heather shares her life with a variety of animals, both large and small. She has her own purebred Angus operation called Diamond H Cattle Company. She helps her sister with her Suffolk/Hampshire sheep which at present numbers 15 head. She also has her bay gelding Quarter Horse named Rudy. She has two dogs: Penny is a Corgi/Shih Tzu and Angus is a Corgi. She would also love to have a French Bulldog someday. There are also four kitties: Olive, Seen, Sassy and CJ.
And when Heather can spare some free time she enjoys showing her cattle as well as spending time with her friends and family. She also likes to go fishing, hunting, shed hunting and camping.
